This single-session Taster Class introduces the core practical skills involved in using a chisel for woodworking. This workshop is designed to give you an introduction to our teaching style and the foundations of hand tool woodworking. You will learn the correct techniques for safe and effective chisel use.
You will learn:
Chisel terminology, techniques, and approach
How to safely and effectively use a chisel
Using a saw to prepare material for chisel work
Removing waste and refining surfaces with a chisel
Understanding body position, control, and accuracy when using hand tools
Basic hand tool skills used throughout our Core Skills Courses
Who it’s for: Suitable for all levels, including complete beginners.
