Workshop safety (2 sessions)
Core Skills – Workshop Safety Training fee: $300
What you will learn:
workshop power tools and machine safety, including the tablesaw and chop saw, bandsaw and circular saw, jigsaw and portable drill driver
2 day from 10am – 4:00pm (10 hrs. hours total)
Objectives
This 2-session introduction to workshop safety covers the key skills used in power woodshops.
· PPE and hazards,
· terminology and WCB approach to safety regulations
· Power Saws, moving blades and risks to avoid
· Using a powered circular saw to cut construction wood
Event Times
This course is part of our Core Skills classes, and we offer the course at a variety of times:
Thursday evening 6.00 - 9pm over 2 weeks
Wednesday evening 6:00 - 9pm over 2 weeks
Fridays10.00 – 4.00pm (infrequent only 3 times a year)
All day Saturday 10.00 – 4.00pm
Unfortunately, you can’t mix and match between the different days.
